  • Location: Doncaster, UK / Work from Home (Hybrid)

    Are you a Financial / Project Assistant and looking to work within an international, ground breaking, agri-tech robotics company? If so, we are looking to talk with you about an exciting opportunity to join Earth Rover Ltd (“ERL”).

    The role is to provide Finance and Project Administrative support to our growing team in the UK and Spain, and also liaising with our external stakeholders (ie. suppliers, customers, bank, accountants). The successful candidate will be expected to manage the Accounts (Sales and Purchase Ledger), as well as contribute to maintaining a pleasant ERL office work environment, ensuring high levels of organisational effectiveness, positive team communication and office safety.

  • In this role, you will be primarily responsible for developing, implementing, optimising and maintaining the user interface and cloud-based applications that enable our robot field operations. Your work will involve leveraging your expertise in the front-end and back-end of our cloud applications and cybersecurity to enhance the safety, reliability and user experience of the robot's autonomous operations.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using modern front-end technologies.

    • Collaborate with the UI/UX design and translate it into interactive and visually appealing user experiences.

    • Implement server-side logic, APIs, and data storage solutions to support the functionality of cloud-based applications.

    • Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based applications with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.

    • Utilise cloud services and platforms to architect and deploy robust solutions.

    • Implement security best practices for cloud applications, including data encryption, access controls, and compliance with industry standards.

    • Perform security assessments and address vulnerabilities in collaboration with the security team.

    • Implement and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

    • Strong proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js).

    • Solid experience with serverside languages (Node.js, Python).

    • Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.

    • Familiarity with cloud databases and storage solutions (Postgres, MySql, S3, ...).

    • Experience with Linux environment and bash scripting.

    • Experience in developing cloud-based applications, particularly using AWS.

  • In this role you will be responsible for establishing the build process, facilities and equipment required for assembly of autonomous field robots. This will include defining facility layout, equipment requirements, procedures and controls for assembly, rework and repair, ensuring high quality products ready for the customer. You will be working closely with the R&D team to assist future development in Design for Manufacture and Assembly, as well as supporting build related problem solving in a structured manner.

    You will build on your experience from an industrial robotics, automotive, agricultural or off-highway vehicle background and bring your skills and advice to revolutionary business and technology.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Build and commissioning of autonomous field robots including establishment of assembly procedures and quality checks to support end of line commissioning and sign-off of product for delivery to the end customer.

    • Support the definition of facility layout, equipment requirements and procedures for repair, upgrade and overhaul of field units.

    Must Haves

  • Are you a Finance Assistant/Office Administrator and looking to work within an international, ground breaking, agri-tech robotics company? If so, we are looking to talk with you about an exciting opportunity to join Earth Rover Europe SL.

    We are looking for someone to work in our office in Barcelona, Spain. The role is to provide Finance and Administrative support to our growing team of roboticists and AI engineers based there, and also liaising with our U.K. based Earth Rover team and external ERESL stakeholder relationships (ie. suppliers, customers, bank, accountants). The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to maintaining a pleasant ERESL office work environment, ensuring high levels of organisational effectiveness, positive team communication and office safety.

    Previous experience as a Finance Assistant/Office Administrator is considered essential and should include the following;

    • Working with cloud-based accounting software applications (eg. Xero, Sage) including reconciliation of bank accounts, assisting manage Debtor/Creditor balances, preparing Management reports;

    • Basic accounting knowledge and bookkeeping experience to support ERESL and U.K. management;

    • Preparation and processing of staff expense claims, maintaining complete and well organised office files;

    • Supporting management with preparation of staff information required for HR/Payroll;

    • Assisting with staff related tasks including onboarding of new team members, maintaining holiday/sick leave records;

    • The successful candidate should have the maturity and capability to be considered for delegated bank account spending authority;

    • Experience of accounting for Spanish tax (IRPF/SS) and dealing with Spanish tax authorities will be an advantage;

    • Knowledge of IVA/Corporate Tax rules and provisions will also be advantageous;

    • Experience of collecting/processing operational and financial data for use in ad hoc projects will be advantageous (eg. for Grant applications);

    • An understanding and empathy for agriculture and robotics/AI will be very advantageous.

  • In this role, you will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing computer vision algorithms on field images captured by CLAWS, our autonomous agricultural  robot. Your work will involve leveraging your expertise in AI, machine learning, data science and computer vision to enhance the robot's ability to accurately recognize and distinguish plants and weeds. By analysing the captured images, you will contribute to the development of advanced algorithms that enable the robot to autonomously identify and sustainably eliminate weeds.

    This role is based in Spain.

    Essential experience, training or skills:

    • Background in deep learning development, experience on Linux, Python, TensorFlow, Keras, C/C++, Darknet.

  • Earth Rover is looking for an engineer to join the R&D team with a strong background in robotics software development and control systems. As an integral part of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying robotic software solutions for agricultural applications.

    • Design, develop, and test software for robotic systems, focusing on control algorithms, motion planning, and navigation.

    • Integrate sensors and actuators into robotic systems, ensuring seamless operation and reliability.

    • Prototype, simulate, and iterate on software designs to optimize performance and functionality.

    • Troubleshoot and debug software issues in robotic systems.

    • Develop and execute comprehensive system test plans to ensure robotic systems meet performance and reliability requirements.

    • Participate in field testing and deployment of robotic systems, providing support and maintenance as needed.
